Siberian Virtuosi




Siberian Virtuosi, the State Ensemble of the Republic of Sakha(Yakutia) is an ensemble of 11 violinists and a pianist which is gaining an increasing popularity in Russia and around the world. Founded in 1994 as the Virtuosi of Yakutia, the Ensemble has given over 1200 concerts during the last 17 years. The Ensemble has performed in 14 European and Asian countries, including France, United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Germany, Israel, China and South Korea.

Some of the highlights of the Ensemble’s major tours and concerts:

2012 - a 20-concert tour of the United States was a high light of the Ensemble's touring schedule this year. Each performance ended with standing ovations, 2-3 encores and re-engagement requests.

2011 - The Ensemble has performed across the Russian Federation as an Ambassador of the Republic of Yakutia promoting their culture and art.

2010 - The Ensemble was chosen to represent Russian in the cultural program of the “EXPO 2010” in Shanghai.

2009 - The 15-year anniversary of the Ensemble “Siberian Virtuosi” was celebrated with 42 concerts in 28 cities.

2008 - Germany became the 12th country to enthusiastically welcome the artistry of the Ensemble

2007 - The Siberian Virtuosi performed throughout France and Italy

2006 - Debut tours of Mongolia and China

2005 - The Ensemble performed in Paris at the invitation of UNESCO in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the European Union

2004 - The Ensemble’s 10 year anniversary tour to major Russian cities was broadcast in over 150 countries

2003 - Ensemble gave three solo concerts in Portugal(Qashqai and Lisbon).

2002 - One month tour to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia

2001 - Four Concerts in London and Carlisle City (UK)

Technical Rider: 

1.       ARRIVAL: The ensemble will arrive at your auditorium three hours before the concert is to begin.  Thanks for being prepared for them.

2.       STAGE: The minimum stage size is 25’ x 25’.  The stage should be swept clean and be free of all sets, props and equipment.

3.       PIANO: The best available grand piano will be required.  It should be moved to center stage, and then tuned to A-440. 

4.       SOUND SYSTEM: The ensemble will perform without amplification but one microphone on a stand will be required for talking with the audience.  Please have someone familiar with the house sound system available to set up and run the sound for the concert.

5.       LIGHTING: The best available concert lighting will be required.  Please have someone familiar with the house lighting system available to set and run the lights for the concert.

6.       CHAIRS: NO chairs are required.

7.       MUSIC STANDS: NO music stands are required.

8.       DRESSING ROOMS: One dressing room for approximately 11 women, and one dressing room for approximately 4 men will be required.  Each dressing room should be equipped with adequate chairs, a mirror and clothes racks.  And each should be near private lavatory facilities and the stage.

9.       HOSPITALITY: A hot meal is a big part of the Ensemble's technical rider. No requirements for meals are given. Please make sure that whatever you will be providing will be enough for the touring company of 16. In addition to the hot meal, vegetables, cookies, and fruit, please make sure that you will also have enough of bottle water adjacent to the dressing rooms, as well as soft drinks, tea, coffee.

10.   MEAL: A meal for the ensemble of 16 to be ready 2.5 hours before the start of the concert is required.  No special foods are requested or required.

11.   CONCESSIONS: A table in the lobby from which to sell CDs and/or DVDs, and someone to assist, will be required.
